Added after the fact, September 26. Record keeping has suffered because work has been sporadic at best. The wings were re-fitted and prepared for installation. I had cut too much from
the root of the wing at a couple of places. The wing root seal would not have fit properly. Added some aluminum extension to give enough for seal to mount properly.
I came up on the list for a shade hanger and SLC Airport #2. The Airplane was moved to the airport on September 15. The propellor and spinner have been fitted. Some minor damage was done to the right aileron which will have to be repaired. Time put in this interim period, Dennis 15 hours, Eric 14 hours, Michael 14 hours, Kirk 16 hours.
At this point, I hope for final inspection before October 13. At that time Kirk and I will fly to Santa Rosa, CA where Kirk can get four hours of transition training before the testing of the aircraft begins.
…
Back from California where Kirk got some time in a Zodiac XL. Airplane was taken to airport #2 the end of October. Wings were installed, rudder and horizontal stabilizer were installed. We also completed the weight and balance. Application For Airworthiness Certificate was completed with all the additional paperwork. (This item was recorded December 6, 2007)
Weather is not good. Still hope to complete aileron rigging and get inspection finished before Jan 31, 2008.
